Hey
I'm thinking about the 2006 legacy B4 2.0R JDM AT.
What should i check/know before i buy it?

Make sure you have the appropriate grade of gasoline readily available...

Ask two things. For him not to start it before you get there, and 2) to drive it before you buy it. Check to see if the axles in the front are good (take a sharp, accelerating turn to each side; if they click they're bad), check that the transmission shifts smoothly and easily into each gear both under load and around town... check that the turbo is quiet, that there is no constant white smoke out of the exhaust (blown exhaust turbine seal, OR blown headgasket). Some white smoke at start-up or cold weather is fine, but after the car is warmed up, it definitely shouldn't have anything coming out of the tailpipe.
Good luck, sounds like a sweet ride.

By the way it's not turbo.
I think it's DOHC or even SOHC, however i dough it's SOHC.
As far as i know it's the 165 HP and not the 150 HP as most of these motors are.

1) Subaru Dealer records.
2) Maintenance records.
-- Head gasket
-- Timiing belt
-- Water pump
3) Test Drive to your trusted local mechanic
-- Put on hoist.l
-- Check for rust, damage to under frame
4) You can purchase a Paint Thickness Gauge to double check this hasn't been cheaply repaired / repaired in general.
