I hated the stock color of my interior on my 97 Outback, so I knew I needed to do something about it. Carpet is being dyed right now, and am planning on getting WRX seats.
This DIY is for the door card inserts. It is a fairly easy and inexpensive way to spice up the interior.
Tools Needed:
1. Phillips Screwdriver
2. Small Flathead Screwdriver
3. Fabric (I got mine from Joann's Fabric, 1 yard was more than enough)
4. Locktite Spray Adhesive
5. Scissors

Step 1: Remove Door Panel From Car. There are two screws needed to be removed to take off the door panel. One is by the door handle, and the other is in the center of the door. Also use the flathead to get the window switch out, and disconnect it.

Step 2: Remove Door Car From Door Panel. There are eight screws I believe that need to be removed. One is under the foam on the top left in this picture, I just lifted the foam up and unscrewed it.

Step 3: Remove Original Fabric From Door Card. This is self explanatory...just pull it off.

Step 4: Cut Fabric. Cut the fabric about an inch to an inch and a half around the whole door card.

Step 5: Spray the adhesive on the door card:

Step 6: Place the fabric over the door car and pull it tight so there are no creases.

Step 7: Spray around the edges of the backside with the adhesive, and glue the edges down. I started with the longest parts first, then went on to the edges and then the ends.

Step 8: Do the reverse of steps 1-2.
