Anyone know of a wire that would be HOT in all these positions? Easy to find 2/3 but 3/3 has me stumped. Could be done w/ a relay but if there's already something I could tap, that would be way easier. Thanks sl-i forum.

The battery!
The only ones I can think of in the cabin would be the hot lead for the interior lights (they're a switched ground) and the memory wire for the stereo.
And if you had power seats, those too. But I wouldn't really know for sure since you have no model/trim info listed.

Gotta be off when the key's off, that's the trick! It's a 99 LOB. Mem for stereo may be good. I wonder if the 12v outlet on the console would work too. I know it goes off with the key, but not sure if it's on in START position. Will check tomorrow.

The 12v outlet is keyed to the acc position. It turns off for a sec when you're starting the car.
The memory line for the stereo is always on as well. I didn't realize you needed it off when the car's off too, haha.
What are you trying to wire up?

I've a neat little digital combo/volt gauge but be able to watch the stats drop while starting. It also displays start time and other such info. Similar to the "Battery Mole" but in a regular gauge format w/ some additional functionality.

Actually, I think the power to the light switch would work, unless that weird ground switching interferes with it but power to the switch should remain constant, it's the switch that does the switching....HA! My lights shut off with the key, but are hot in acc/start/run positions.

I have a BE but my secondary washer fluid pump connector is on in start/run/acc. It has positive and negative connections. Since I don't have a wagon I only have a front washer pump, Subaru just doesn't use this harness but it is still there. It's how I have my fogs wired as my DRL's--just connected the switched side of the fog light relay to this + connection and bingo. I think I must be lucky though because from what I've read some BE's don't energize this wire during the actually starting of the motor...but mine is. I know for sure because my fog's don't turn off when I'm starting the car. Might be worth a look....
Hope this helps!!

No luck for me, I was mistaken. Nothing in my car is HOT In start/run/acc. Looks like relay time in my case, but should be easy just more wire running I was trying to avoid.

Finally got around to taking a pic. Sorry for the poor quality. A-pillar w/ econ gauge and original voltmeter. I've since got a better volt gauge, one-off from a friend, but you get the idea. I can pretend to be "go-fast" at least!
