I know there are a lot of after market bars out there for the gc8 that will work for the front but it seams like people are split on the rear some say it will work some say u need to make it fit. The other? I have is what is the stock size on the front and rear sway bars for a 99 Gt.? I don't want to bye some thing that is the same as stock or smaller and waste the cash and lastly I read a some of threads talking about using the out back rear bar are the out back bars bigger then the Gt. or are they the same? Any help would be great

buy an adjustible whiteline. $170.

18-20-22mm.

18 at first. 20 when you are used to it. 22 only when you have supporting mods like springs and shocks... it's tail-happy enough on 20, that's why i havn't moved it to 22.

seriously, thats all you need to know.

ps: yours is 15 i believe, either way, it's tiny, you'll see when you take it off. outback is 18, and you'll get bored quick.

GC rear swaybars won't fit BDs. At least not stock ones.
The stock ones are flat in the middle (straight) whereas the BD/BG ones have a kink to clear the spare wheel well.

I have an 18-20-22 Cusco on mine, with the paint missing

Outback sway bar is a good cheap route to less understeer at turn-in.

Upgrading endlinks is imperative, especially in the rear. I'd reccomend upgrading the endlinks before buying a bar.
