One piece to two piece Headlight swap

I am wondering if the 2 piece lights from my 98' GT will swap right into my 97' L? the reason being that the 97' has TERRIBLE light output, and I have JDM's to put in my 98' anyway.

they fit, but you'll have to splice the wiring, and transfer over a couple screw retainers for the corner lights.

they must use different bulbs then?

the 2 piece lights use 9007 bulbs and the 1 piece lights use a 9003 bulb I believe

Ok, it should all work out then since I have to cut the harness on the 98' anyway to wire the JDM,s. thanks!

I had 97 lights in my 98 for a few months before my JDM ones... Cut and splice, thats it. Even all the colors are the same. You cant re-pin them though, they changed the pin style in 98, go figure...

FWIW, I've heard the 2 piece headlights are just as bad...

no way, the lows are as illuminating as the highs on the 1-piece, just with proper beam pattern.

Your pretty much dead on accurate.

I'd say the 2piece lights are acceptable, where as the o e piece lights are a pathetic excuse for a light.
