Hi,

Can anybody give me an approximate weight for a JDM bumper beam and/or bumper?

I came across a Tommy Kaira bumper with fogs and beam included and I'm wondering whether it would work out at a reasonable price seeing as it would have to go EMS.

I'm thinking about 5kg for the bumper 2kg for the fogs and maybe 5kg for the beam? About 15kg when boxed up.

Thanks.

Bumper itself shouldnt would be maybe 10 lbs... the bumper beam maybe 7 lbs and the fogs another 7lbs...

My guess is about 25 lbs.

Thanks, that's pretty close to my guess.

And it's a longshot but does anyone know if the BD/BG type A bumper beam is different from type B/C beam?

That is a longshot... because we only have pre97 and post98 versions over here and non of them were JDM.

I have a feeling that if it is different, it would be where and how the fogs mount...

This bumper beam would surely be slightly different then the next one below:

Yeah I've never even seen a bumper beam so I have no clue, if the fog mounting points are on the beam then they're probably different.

The second pic is of a limited bumper, don't tell me that's different again?!

No clue on that... I dont know if the limited middle fogs mount to the beam but i know the projector fogs do.

I have a feeling that the early and late would be different. All years and styles and different over here.

95-98 Base model
97-99 GT
96-99 Outback

I have a feeling that my JDM Limited beam is the same as a a late style GT-B beam. I'm also betting that the JDM and USDM beams are most likely different also, just because of DOT specs. I know that 180sx and 240sx covers are the same, but the beams are completely different because the US has super hard DOT crash standards.

I found a type A bumper beam for under $10 (others are over ten times the price), but if the projector fogs don't mount then it's worthless really.

Yeah youre probably right on GT-B and limited having the same beam, obviously the JDM and USDM beams are different.

Difference between usdm and JDM (although this one is bent) bumper beams... and about and extra 25 pounds.

If you are good at bending metal... I will give this one to you for free, just shipping. the foglight positions are not affected by the bend...

You're a legend, but I'm actually in Japan trying to source cheap parts for you guys, like a beam to replace your bent one! And still learning what you guys need/want over there and what's feasible to ship etc.

Thanks for all the help.

This was answered in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22913 (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22913) but I thought I'd repost here since the info was a direct answer to the question of this thread:

I just weighed the complete JDM Limited bumper with beam and dual fogs and it is exactly:
33.4 lbs / 15.15 kg.
