BD Legacy - Can I use a 95 auto driveshaft on a 97 GT?

Just as the topic states, is there any difference between auto and manual rear driveshafts?

Would an outback driveshaft bolt up? What if I use a phase II center diff case? Does it matter?

they would work if they both had the same transmission, but since the transmissions (manual vs automatic) are a different length, so are the drive shafts. so no you cannot take a drive shaft from a 95 auto and use it in your 97 manual, it will be too short.
