Dye it. Just make sure you give it time to dry and sink in. Been a year and mines still good. I have a diy up.

Any fabric store. Hell my grocery store sells it. Get some old carpet from a junkyard and soak that baby and it will be like new.

try the junk yard before you try the dealer.

i picked up a grey interior carpet with a few non-carpet related trim pieces from the junk yard for 30 dollars. aside from dust and some minor stains its in great condition.

Yea and part outs. Rite dye is what i used. You can either spray the dye in like i did or you can soak it in a tub or pool (kiddie pool). The saoking method is what i would use that way there is no extra dye that may rub off.

I hadn't thought of the kiddie pool idea. was just going to lay out the clean semi dry carpet and use a spray bottle.

I have a question.
on the bottle of Rite dye it recomends mixing vinegar or salt. I assume, to help the color leach into whatever material you are trying to dye. Did you add anything to your mix?

No, but in my diy you can see that I did the spray and rub in. The idea of the kiddie pool has to go to Roger (huffer). It was a good idea for sure.
