So I went and tested out a 92 SVX for a friend of mine today.
FWD light was on. Test drove it and could hear hte rear end whirring (tires are all the same size)
These had a VLSD in them. Felt a little bit of "wheel hop" in the rear going in a straight line. There was NO torque bind what so ever. With or without the fuse in.
However when I took the fuse out to put it in AWD. The rear end would REALLY hop and could feel it skipping. But still no torque bind. Transmission shifted really smooth as well. No 1-2 lurch or anything of that nature.
Bad rear diff? Or something with the trans still?
To help describe it better it felt like a RWD car with traction control and I was at WOT from a dead stop. Trying to hook up.
