rear diff mismatch

what would happen if my transmission and rear diff had different fd ratios?
say for example if I convert my 98 L 4EAT to a 5MT from a 95 L without changing the rear diff as well?
95 Legacy L FD ratio= 3.90
98 Legacy L FD ratio= 4.11
