Well I'll keep this one short for now, after waiting for a good deal on a BH with a 5mt I purchased this car a little while back to have a second car I could drive year round and to get rid of my Suburban before gas goes up to $5 a gallon. Anyways it's an '01 with ZERO RUST!, 4.11 5mt (now I have another spare trans if I explode the one in my BD), 110k on the odometer (headgaskets, timing belt, water pump tensioners done at 100k before anything went bad)

99% stock, only add ons are bug deflector tint and Pioneer deck

Future plans:
Undercoat everything underneath before any rust sets in
Remove horrid looking stock intake and make a hybrid intake (going to try and use my Rs through fender intake
Shifter bushings
Trailer hitch
Hatch bar
Different rims (not sure what looks good on this with the color combo, I wish I didn't just put new tires on my snowflakes)
Painted LGT mirrors (the gold color of the lower plastic)
Front and rear upper strut bars
Upgraded front and rear sway bars and links
Kyb gr2 struts (or something equivalent to)
Jdm Tails
Jdm/hid headlights (not sure if there is as much difference with these as jdm on bd vs usdm?)
Different grill (anyone done anything that looks good on an outback before?)
Baja hood

Not so much building currently, I'd call it a plateau of modding for a little while. My daughter is in soccer now and I hate minivans!

I think you should color match the wing mirrors to the upper portion of the car.
Bilstein do make some HD struts for this vehicle... I think at least the fronts. You should maybe see if you can get your hands on a set of JDM Bilstein struts, and pair those with your stock springs (if you use the JDM springs the front end will lift up slightly). That would actually get you a little lower, moreso if you used LGT BH springs instead of the Outback springs. Heck, for a really cheap change, you could just swap suspension from a BH LGT into the car and enjoy a nice little drop (relatively speaking).

I wouldn't bother with the JDM headlights - check out Guig'z threads on DIY retro fitting projectors - there's tonnes of room in there and the bang for buck is much better if actually being able to see using the correct LHD light pattern is concerned.

I like the ride height just want to firm it up some, and yes I'm looking into some diy projects for the hid. I have some hids from a Volvo semi that would fit but I want to make sure they don't look fugly during the daytime when the lights are off. I'd rather have something look good just different since the lighting is good enough for me as is.

HID's in halogen housings is a terrible idea. Projectors FTW.
