2004 STi mirror in 2000 Legacy

Anyone know if the plug/mount are the same on the rearview autodim/compass mirror?

Mounts are completly different

The harness / connectors are not the same but that doesn't really mean anything.. Mirrors are basic and connectors can be changed..

the 04 wrx wagon's mirror attaches to the glass and has a black cover that goes up to the roof, covering the wiring.

I'm aware of the wiring. I need to know if the MOUNT on the windshield and if the 3 prong wiring PLUG are the compatible between these years/models. Sorry if this was unclear and thanks for any help.

Both use the same mount, it's a cam lock mount and the 3 pin harness thats on legacys will work on the 04-07 STi mirror. Direct fit. Installed mine last night, posting for future reference.

Hey, I thought I would add that I have seen some home-conversions of hybrid mirrors using the external cover over the 3rd gen Legacy stock mirror. Looked mint.

If your talking about side mirrors, then no, they will not work...
