Throttle body change

Any one here ever done one? I'm just thinking about it for now.

I researched a little and couldn't find much. But my guess is more higher rev power and torque because of the bigger airflow?

Pros/cons? STIs or other cars have different throttle bodys that could be adapted?

You guys got any literature for me to read?

Zero gains. The engine in N/A form has a TB that's the optimal size to maintain flow velocity.

All Subaru's use 60mm inner diameter throttle bodies regardless of turbo or non-turbo. 1989-2008
--> some older GT's used 56mm (i can not confirm this)

2.5RS/WRX/L/GT/LSi/Brighton/Outback/OBS all uses cable throttle body / STi (04+) use drive-by-wire/fly-by-wire (controlled through a pedal sensor and the ECU)

There is no real benefit to swapping out your throttle body for different generation unless you are looking for different tech (connectors, iacv, tps, etc..)

Increasing the throttle body ID on a non-turbo application will yield very low results, in some examples only 12 HP was achieved when combined with turbo motors.

Stock throttle body can be bored out to 64mm possibly larger if tapered out.

To sum this up a larger throttle body will do nothing for you until you fix the bottle necks (intake manifold porting @ the throttle body flange & porting the heads)
