On a 98 legacy whats the difference between the 2.2l exhaust and the 2.5gt exhaust?

Swapping to a stock GT exhaust wont yield noticeable results.

If I'm not mistaken is your piping is larger than 2.25" you will lose power on a legacy...

I've seen people put 3" exhausts on their legos. Honestly the best sound and performance exhaust size is 2.5"

I beg to differ.. 2.25" .. speaking from someone whos been both ways with both engines.. Proper baffled 2.25" setup with proper back pressure is the optimal setup.

From what I see on those links, the 2.5L midpipe has another cat and a resonator while the 2.2L midpipe has only the resonator? Or are those 2 resonators on the 2.5L midpipe?

They are all pretty much the same but have different revisions... I have seen the single cat setup on GT's however I have also seen more dual cat setups overall.

It all depends on the year/revision
