I have the ej22 dual port... I dunno If I should just rebuild it
Or get a different one I would like turbo but don't want to deal with

How about swap in a 2.5 shortblock and reuse your heads and everything else. Easy HP and TQ gain.

This is what I'm doing, you just need hybrid gaskets.

Like mike said.. Easy.. and its cheap since you can keep your EJ22 dual port heads with manifold/sensors/wiring and still run dual port headers (UEL/EL) while having the bump in displacement..
At that point any EJ25 bottom end will work.. Just use the EJ22 head gasket thats ment for your heads.
Pretty simple

Would this work the other way around? If I put 2.2L heads on a bh 2.5 block?

actually you want to use the special one cometic made that has the correct cylinder bore yet the right ports for the ej22 head. i would not recommend using a stock ej22 head gasket, the gasket will get the crap beat out of it if the bore is too small.

that's not really the other way around, but if you already have a complete 2.5 swapping to 2.2 heads will only make the engine worse. this is ONLY an upgrade if start with a 2.2. if you already have a 2.5 please don't even consider this.
