Is there suppose to be more little storage units on this?

Hey, here is a pic of my glove compartment. I always saw them when opening it but it never really made me think till the other day but was there some sort of little shelf or what have you that came in there when the car was being sold when it was new? I'm asking this because of the rounded areas right there on both sides of the top inside part of the compartment.

I spy with my little eye a gameboy color! I still have mine from when i was a kid.

Anyways ive never seen any shelf or thing that goes on there but im sure it was made like that for a reason.

Lol Hell yeah, still have it in mid condition. Need more games for it but I have it in there for if ever in bad traffic or waiting for someone etc etc. but yeah, I 'm just asking because if there ever was, I want it lol idk I'm one who cares and wants all the cool accessories that were and or was available for the car that I drive, well if I love it.
