have anyone on here tried this before? painting your stock Foglights to yellow. I've seen it done before using Krylon Stain Glass paint.

Im so tempting to do it, but theres another option too, using a yellow tint strip. im thinking of going that way instead of painting it. and plus, i can take the tint off when i feel like it.

I rock blocked my hella 500's. They look awesome! And the stuff is super thick, so no cracking any lenses. Couldn't have been easier to apply.

www.rockblocker.com (http://www.rockblocker.com) Comes with an application squeegee thing so that you can press it on nice and firm. Yellow tint will tear as soon as rocks start hitting it.

x3 on the rockblocker, it's easily removed, and it protects your headlights. I would never paint the lights, even if it's easily sanded off.

if it's for the fogs just buy it in bulk and you can cut to fit.

shoot, one question, will these films melt with the heat produce by the lights?

No. They are designed for light protection. The adhesive is so incredibly sticky, its not even funny. Its really easy to apply though. Took me all of 10 minutes to do my two foglights. I just cleaned the lenses with some rubbing alcohol, let them dry and then put the films on. My lights were new though, so not much had actually gotten on to the lenses, you may need a heavier cleaner. You just want to make sure the cleaner you use does not streak or leave a residue, because both will forever be sealed behind the film if thats the case.

Rockblocker is the way to go.
It's a 3M film,
you DO NOT want to touch the sticky part!!!!!!!!!!!!
Install was a snap. (well, I do this for a living)

As for application, all I did was peeled about .75" of the backing off then attached it to the very top of the light. Then using the squeegee thing, I pushed the film down with a mainly left to right motion as I was slowly removing the backing.

When you get the film you realize why no one cracks a lense, the stuff is THICK.

Awesome. I would love to pick up some of this for the fogs on the Saab.

EDIT: Holy crap... They even make a kit for it. w00t.

So once you get this stuff on, what happens if you decide you want to take it off?

I think it's removable. But it's probably a pain with the adhesive.

You can also get plain clear if all you want to do is protect the headlights.

a heat gun and some 3M™ adhesive remover.
(I've seen it at NAPA™ for like $9.00)
after you've use the remover,
clean it off with rubbing alcohol.
