Hi I'm from Michigan my girl friend just bought an 02 L wagon 5 spd. 113k on the odometer. Original trans and motor hardley no rust. I'm joinin the for just to get some info and to get see if there is any issues that may need to be addressed. Let me know if there is anything I should look for as far as basic maintance and or normal spots for rust to form.

Hi, welcome to the forums. I'm from Michigan too! Where about are you located?
As for things to look for, check the coolant level and look for coolant leaking from the engine where the heads attach to the block. Those engines have a problem with leaking coolant externally from the headgaskets.
Also the most common spot for rust to occur is around the rear wheel well, right around where the bumper meets the rear quarter panel.
