FWD fever !

More like, FWD Fail !. I wasn't looking for a VW, that's for sure. I already want to get rid of it.
It has a lot done to it. However, it does need some work. I'm thinking of leaving it as "BeeTuh StAtuz"as it need some finishing. The previous owner ran out of steam halfway through refreshing the floors and I just had to put a new windshield, tires and some other odds and ends in/on it. I just got it to the point where it passed inspection, and that's where I'm thinking of leaving it for awhile, as I don't auto cross or race etc... just some light commuting.

You know, the motors are not that bad but the rest of the cars are... I'll keep my mouth shut... haha... I do like how they drive, but man they suck balls to work on and or figure out what is wrong with them!

I know, but I grew up with Euros/Imports around me and worked restoring P cars and other Euro exotics. I think the worst thing about this MK3 is the rust repair. Otherwise, everything else has been repaired, replaced or rebuilt. I'm going to have to figure out what to do with it soon, as my E36 will be my summer daily once again. I was looking to trade it for another Subie, but I don't see any owners taking me up on that offer either.

HA... yeah, I'm not a fan of water cooled VW's... I was a Volvo nut for a long time, but only up to mid 70's cars...

I will say, those cars do drive nice, at least the 01 Golf I replaced a motor in was. I just dont like all the other problems and the fact that stupid things go wrong. lol...

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to breaking anything anytime soon! Unfortunately like every car make, they have their downsides too like repetitive breakdowns or wiring glitches. Luckily, the PO took care of most of those issues before I got it . I just out grew Golfs/Jettas years ago, and never really thought about owning another VW (Other than an R32 or EDM only Scirroco) I do know that it will have to go soon, as the last few years, I've only liked my Subies and my Bike! Heck, the BMW will be up on the chopping block too!! .... er... Nah, just kiddin
