03 wrx years and springs

I bought some 03 struts and springs but didn't come with the top hat. Can I use my stock top hats of a 96 legacy sedan. What to make sure they fit before I start disassembling. Probably should of asked before I bought em too haha.

Yes, I believe so. 04-05 had the tapered spring design so those would need the appropriate spring tops, but 02-03 should be fine.

I just did some reading on this on NASIOC since I am putting 04 wrx struts/springs on soon. The rear top hat changed from the 03 to 04. The rear strut design did as well. That is another reason why the 02-03 top hats don't work on the 04-07.
