Anti Lift Kit Disscusion

Looking at getting a whiteline ALK kit. My current rear control arm brackets are bent. They want $76 per side with my discount. The Whiteline ALK kit comes with them.

Sadly I see that it puts me in Street Modified in Auto-X. Oh well I do it for fun.

Anyone done this?

I will be doing the Whiteline bump steer kit and front control arm bushings.

Current setup:
Tribeca front swaybar
225/45/17 Kuhmo Escta 4x tires
04 WRX brakes
04 STi struts with 05-07 Tannabe GF210's
Rallitek 22-25adj rear bar

All with solid endlinks.

go for it, my new legacy has an anti lift kit and sti springs on GT struts and it feel way flatter in the corners than my L did on STi suspension with a bigger rear sway.

btw, it actually increases lift and dive.

How would you say that affects driving? And what benefits did you notice Jamal?

much more front end grip and less understeer while accelerating out of a corner. Basically the way anti-geometry works is that it kind of binds up the suspension to prevent lift and dive. The ALK completely removes all the anti-geometry of the front suspension so that the forces are controlled by the shock and spring as they are supposed to. Plus you get a stiffer bushing out of the deal which deflects less and maintains a better dynamic alignment - most specifically much less caster is lost when a high load is on the control arm. And speaking of caster, you get a little bit of that too. The only downside is that you'll notice a bit more of a thunk going over joints and bumps and stuff.
