Looking for shock absorber replacemnt DIY

Hey
I would like to replace my shock absorbers.
I'm talking only about the struts and not the springs.
Can any one give me a suggestion if it's possible to do it by myself at home.
p.s I don't have a garage.

besides dealing with stubborn bolts which can be a project of its own, its pretty strait forward stuff. besides the basic hand tools that you will need, you will also need to borrow/rent a spring compressor to safely swap over the springs. im sure its been covered on this site before so try searching a bit and see what you can find.
