Instead of paying out the rear for JDM to be imported, I thought it would be better to try and modify aftermarket from another car. I noticed that the 95-99 sentra has pretty similar lines and did a search for parts. Do you guys think these lights would work with minimal customization?

I know I'd have to mod the grille, but I'm wanting to do that anyways.

(97 legacy is BD right?) pardon my ignorance, just bought the thing a month ago.

minimal customization? not a chance, not to mention most cheap ebay lights have terrible light output as well..

I know I'd have to do wiring....... not worried about that. How much modding do you think I'd have to do to the mounting area?

P.S. I don't think the output can be any worse than factory. Especially since it would be projectors

without having the headlights myself its impossible to say, they might be too tall, they might be to wide, they wont match the hood, they wont match the fenders, they wont match the bumper. they probably wont match the radiator support. unless your willing to modify everything around it, there is no saying how well they would fit.

i would look into a projector retrofit into some 98+ 2 piece headlights, but really i would just hold out till you can find a set of JDMs for 200 or less. Or one could gut the usdm 1 pieces and trying making something like morrets out of them. either way, the only simple option is the JDMs

I think a trip to the nearest junk yard is in order soon. I'm gonna take some measurements and eyeball the setup on a sentra......

Dont bother with them. Any new set of lights that cost less then $200 for a set, are junk. not just output, but what they are made out of. Have you ever seen the yellowed and dry cracked aftermarket lights? Thats what they will look like in 1-3 years. They will look like crap...

Also, modding parts to fit is not as easy as you might think. You have 3 different curves to match and you will also need to clear the core support. Just looking at those you would need to cut up the core support and even then you might need to move the battery back.

My advise, is not to bother with it, but if you want to take some measurements, go for it. But if I was you, I would just wait for a set on Ebay of the Forum...

Something like this would be better than junk lights:

Or this for the BD with JDM projector lights:

A great place to pick up projectors according to Warrior:

I could probably get you some projectors for under $250 shipped.

How much are the eBay lights?

I could probably get you some projectors for under $250 shipped.

How much are the eBay lights?

Good deal: under $180 shipped
decent deal: $180-200 shipped
Average: $200-230 shipped
too much: $230+

I paid $178 shipped for mine, Brad got his with a Zero Sports grill for $220 shipped, I think...

Thanks for the tip.

I was going by BE/BH weight of 7.5kg packed;
$145 shipping to the US
$40 shipping from the wrecker to me plus costs
$20 PayPal fees

Oops, I'm already into average territory and I haven't even bought the lights yet!

Sorry OP, can't help you.
