First off, sorry to Huffer or Mark if this is in the wrong area but is there away to adjust how cold the A/C can get, as in I don't mean like the Havc nob I mean like deeper in the system. I noticed earlier today that when on my A/C isn't as cold as it normally is and that's with my tint. It blows out cool and somewhat cold but I mean it was COLD before so is there away to adjust it. I did take my Hvac out to replaces some light bulbs thus having to disconnect that wire that's under the passenger dash area but i did put it back on.

yes this is the wrong section, DIY section is for writing an article on how you completed some task, to help inform others on how to do it.

there is no way to adjust it, but there are plenty of things that can go wrong that would make it less cold. the condenser or heat exchanger maybe be clogged up with debris, you could have a small leak and lost some pressure in the system, compressor could be going... etc, start with check the condenser make sure there isn't a bunch of road grime all over it.

The HVAC control module doesn't contain any refrigerant, so that's not your issue. The issue is that your closed AC system is probably low on refrigerant, or has a leak or low pressure (or even overpressurised).

You need to visit a professional AC repair/diagnosis facility.

This right here... I know you like to figure out how to work on your car, but AC is really something you should take to a professional. I'm not licensed in AC as a mechanic, but I can still work on it, kinda.

reasons for not blowing ice sickles....
-compressor is weak or dead
-Low pressure
-condenser caked with crap

Those are the main problems I have found. Most of the time when I do repairs its with collision damage, or age. however, I worked on a 85 Toyota truck and the AC blew colder then my 98 GT...

Anyway, I would listen to Huffer on this one, Just go to a shop and see what they can do. This might be a good time since it's not summer yet. You can at least get a diagnosis and if needed, start saving to have it fixed if it's a expensive fix.

Yep, my A/C blows nice and cold, even when it's 100* out, so there's probably something not quite right about yours.

One way you can tell if it's working or not, is to see if your compressor is engaging... When you AC is off, the pulley on the pump will spin, but the pump will not. When the AC is turned on, the clutches on the pump flip and then the center of the compressor will then spin... If it's not spinning, it's ether something from the switch, or the actuator in the pump or the clutches are no good.
