Hi,

I joined SLI a few weeks ago when I was considering purchasing an old 96 Legacy Outback Wagon. I did purchase it and I have a question that I've not been able to find an answer to by searching this site.

This car has electrically powered door locks. Turning the key in the driver's door unlocks all the other doors and the hatch. I'm not certain if the driver's door lock is electrically activated or not (Or has the ability) as one must either turn the key in the lock or use the inside door lock switch to lock it and the other doors/hatch.

I'm wondering is all the wiring might already be in place and I can simply purchase the right "module" from Subaru to get remote keyless entry?

Thanks,

Dan

if by ECU you mean bulk harness then yes..

"The keyless entry plug is tapped to the big CEL plug. It's an off-white opaque color(same color as the keyless entry plug). This took me FOREVER to find because it is has a DUMMY plug attached to it. Please note that there is also a black plug that will fit the keyless entry module. Don't stick it into that one like I did. "
