Got a wrx momo wheel. I know that pre 97 they changed the harness.

Has anyone gotten the air bag to work? I know i need to get the different clock spring.

I suppose I will splice into the factory wiring and see what happens.

Look to see if you can just re-pin it. I have done that to a number of cars in the past, I just dont remember needing to do it to a Subaru.

Can I see a pic of the replacement wheel?

In some cases, you can swap over the charge. Check these links to see if they are any help.

From what I have read the charges will not swap over. I have also looked at that thread on the fozzy forum. Not the same case with the pre 98 subarus.

The link where the guy put the momo in his OBS he had a JDM momo wheel which was pre 98 from what I can tell.

I installed it today. However didn't mess with the airbag yet. Trying to figure out what I can do. Thought about swapping the ABS module and all that. But I am sure the air bag plugs are part of the dash harness.

I would like to have a working airbag. However I don't think that it's going to happen.

For the future I was told that I would need a 98 or newer clock spring. This was not the case. I swapped the Cruise Control stalk over to the new wheel and it works as well as the horn.

Turn signals also turn off like they should (which I was told was the main reason I needed the newer clock spring).

Anyone have a suggestion for the airbag?

I spliced the wires and then brought it to subaru and they "reset" the airbag light for a 100$ fee. all is well

You should be able to re-pin it like I said, but if not have you thought about getting a different clock spring?

Can you post a pic of what the connector look like? I have a couple bags and springs around and I if can see what your connector is like I might be able to help...

Also, you should be able to re-set your airbag light yourself... I have done it many times...

How do you reset your air bag light haha wish I knew. I did an entire engine swap and tranny swapp. All wiring and I didn't know I could reset the airbag haha
