Hey guys, I'm trying to make the city light in my JDM headlights act as a DRL (or something similar).
I want it to come on when the key is set to ON but not be on with just ACC .

Any idea at what to tap into for power? My father came up with the idea of the power windows but I can find a fuse for it to tap into.

Vehicle is a 95 Legacy L.

Well, your headlights are an auto-off system (meaning that they're only activated while ignition is "on"). Tap into that before the switch on the column.

Think I could tap into it by the fuse out under the hood?
Thanks for the idea Mark!

You can tap into ignition and send it to a relay.

This way they turn on as soon as accessory or ON is set by the key. The relay will use the ignition wire for the trigger and then you can just feed a fused 12v to your lights and ground it where ever you choose.

DTRL/DRL is just a low voltage signal sent to your lights... Once the headlight switch is turned on they jump up to 12volts.

Removing the module on the passenger shock tower will remove the DTRL all together.. With this you can still use HID's and the stock headlight harness without flickering.
