I know that it's probably any Subaru radiator, but for a drop-in easy installation, what radiators from what Subarus will work with a 2000 Legacy L?

I have a friend with a cracked radiator and she needs a new one. Looking at Junkyard hunting for one as they're rather expensive.

02-07 Impreza, WRX, STI will cross match with the BE/BH. The 04+ models got the 2nd cap on the radiator, that would be the better ones to go for. You can get a used one off NASIOC for dirt cheap ($50-100), you can go to the aluminum ebay ones for $150, mishimoto (basically just a more blingy ebay rad) for $250.

Well, she ended up getting one for it, don't know what it was from, but thanks Ben.

I know this doesn't relate to you and the issue is resolved, but since your title is radiator compatibility I'll throw some info out there. I have a 97 gt, and just tried fitting a GD Sti mishimoto radiator into my car. While the quality is nice, it didn't quite fit. The dimensions stated 17.2" for height, but didn't include the height of the radiator cap which made it about 18.5". I cut some of the underhood bracing to try to help it fit, but not quite enough, and then realized that even with enough cut, the upper radiator hose wouldhave to stretch to reach and would be dangerously close to the alternator and power steering pulleys.

I'm sure someone determined enough could make it fit, but it's not going to be pretty. This was just for info for someone doing a search. You're welcome, future researcher ;) .
