Whats the best tire?

So I was finally able to get my suspension installed on my Outback and now I am figuring out what tire combo to go for my wheels.

I have Rota Slipstreams in 16 x 8 +48 offset. So far I am looking at either a 225/50 or 215 setup...opinions?
Suspension: JDM Bilsteins + H&R springs.

Whats your budget? Also are you looking for a summer tire, all season or maybe race?

I would say my budget is in the 450 to 500 range. Looking for something with good tread wear and all round good performance. Since i am in generally in the Bay Area, with some decent comfort too.
