Neutral and Reverse wires

Hello Subaru Gurus

I am almost finished with my 5MT conversion. The swaps and conversions write up was very helpful, but I have some differences in my transmission.

The write up said the 5MT has a 2X2 harness with the reverse and neutral wires. My transmission has two 1X2's.
One's brown and one's grey.

Anyone know which is for reverse and which is for neutral?

From memory, I think brown is reverse, and grey is neutral. You won't need the neutral switch so long as you wire your clutch switch into the AT wiring for the neutral safety switch.

I did this exact swap on my '98, except I used a '97 5MT.
