Legacy wrx streering wheel converson

Have a 97 legacy put the wrx 02 streeing wheel on wondering ways I can get the air bag to
work in the car was thinking if I use the plug from the 97 air bag and solider the wires to the 02 air bag also I was able to take the wire out of the igniter on the 02 streering wheel

You should be able to solder the new connector on but for saftey reasons I advise against this.. Resistance changes if the solder is done improperly and other reason..

You should be able to remove-and-replace (Re-and-Re) the Air Bag Charge. not the bag and cover but the explosive itself.

This is an example for Forester with a WRX wheel but majority of subarus are the same
