So it appears one car in the global Subaru lineup has been Edsel-ized and already DE-Edselized.

The R2 a year ago:

i like it in blue better. i heard a rumor that this is a supercharged i4 w/a 7 speed AT or a CVT. can anyone back this up?

I've basically been told that the Baja is staying around to do nothing more than get rid of some extra BE-BH parts sitting around. They were actually supposed to kill it after 05.

Yeah, it was supposed to be dicontinued. It's a lot more reliable now though :)

I think that the new front end looks terrible on everything but the STi. Maybe its just cause its an STi... but on that car it is starting to grow on me. After I saw the WRC rally edition with that front end, I decided that nothing else mattered. That would be by definition: the hottest Subaru ever.
