Sell with or W/o Mods?

Whats every ones thoughts on selling a car with mods vs selling it returned back to stock. I know there's the whole point that mods don't add value. I'm asking as I may sell the wagon this summer. I've considered asking about ~$400 more if I include mods, then if it doesn't sell remove the mods and lessen the price, thoughts?

Personally I would post with mods only on forums where you know people will appreciate the mods more, then if it doesn't sell post it locally without the mods. I wouldn't post it locally with the mods though because the general public sees modifications as a sign that the car has been beat on.

My take is that you can get more for stock because it opens up to a larger audience. On top of that, you can get more for the parts individually than adding that premium onto the car as a whole.

It depends on the mods and your target audience. Mods you post on the forum, if it doesn't sell then you bring it back to stock and sell off the mods. You would probably make more money selling as stock and selling mods (depending on the mods of course)

An everyday person will look at a modified car and think "oh the owner must have beat the crap out of it". Most of the time it is not true, but this is the preconceived notion people have.

I Sold my last 240sx bone stock. Before selling it, I swapped my header and intake out so no one thought it was raced.

My advise, to get the most out of it, swap stock parts back on if its not too much trouble and sell the parts. Now if it's side markers or something small like that, I wouldnt worry about it. However, JDM headlights of tail lights I would swap out since you can sell them for more on Ebay of the forum, then with the car and some normal Joe wouldnt give a care.

Unfortunately not. Ive been trying to make my wagon something its not since day one. To get it where id be happy with it id be looking to spend about $10k. Even then ive started to lose interest with it and get bored of a wagon.

Its been a great first car but I think its time to move on. Ive started looking at nb miatas. So that may be the direction I go.

Oooh, I love those. I had one and it was one of the greatest cars I've owned. I only got rid of it because I let somebody drive it and they crashed it.

I'm sorry to see you leave the Legacy community, but if you're set on the NB then try to find a 10th Anniversary edition. They have a great 6mt...

Ill keep that in mind when looking. I didnt know they had the 6 speed. Not sure that ill be completely leaving sl-i. Ill likely purchase a beeter subie for winter and stick around here
