View Full Version : Hot air only... No cold?

So I can't really find anything on this but my car is like total opposite when most don't get warm air... Well I don't get any cold at all. Curious if anyone knows what could be broke or wrong... Summer is about here and I don't think I can live without someone cooler air or ac.

is a/c system full? a lot of times an o-ring goes bad an slowly leaks refrigerant.

yeah, try recharging the A/C system. It's the small blue nozzle on the a/c pipe, just hook a can of refrigerant to it and depress the plunger on the can; should charge it in no time flat.

well if its still hot air when its set to cold on a cold day, its a different issue than just the AC not having a charge.

This.

Does your control for the heater manifold (the cold ---> hot selector) slide a little to easily? If so, the cable may be disconnected and not changing you up to cooler air.

Even then, there could still be a problem in there.

well if its still hot air when its set to cold on a cold day, its a different issue than just the AC not having a charge.

Exactly it, it's hot even when it's a cold day on the cold setting. It's like a cable or motor is jammed on hot only.

Look underneath your glovebox. There's a little white arm, it should move (by cable) when you move your temp slider.
