Need help with my TMIC

Its finally almost done. Tying to fit the version 3 TMIC on the VER3 RA/STI engine. Y-pipe isnt long enough to reach the turbo. I had to use my throttlebody from my Stock engine with a spacer to make it all work. So TB is too long for the pipe to reach the turbo. what is the best reliable way to fab a y-pipe? Im running the ver2 slanty off my ej20g right now just to get by.

Have you tried silicone hoses? They have different sizes and bends

my pipe is all plastic, I dont want to commit to cutting it before Im sure it will work

Looks like a Ver 2 WRX TMIC with STI painted on to me.

The Ver 2 STI TMIC gives you more flexibility than the WRX version because it has an aluminum charge pipe with a silicone 90 degree bend. This charge pipe does not bolt on to the Ver 2 WRX TMIC from what I understand.

So if you had the above one, and had fitment issues, you could simply cut the silicone hose before the bend and put a silicone joiner (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/05/joiner_icon-1.jpg) to gain some length.

If you happen to find two STI Ver 2 TMIC's I'll buy the other one as I have the WRX version (that looks like what you have right now)

My ver2 i have on now is a single plastic tube. The ver3 im trying to put on is also plastic tubing.

Oh gotcha. Saw the pic you posted and assumed, lol. Anyways I believe BSOD2000 tried cutting and joining the plastic tubing, but it failed due to fatigue after a couple months. Is there really enough room to fit the Ver 3 in there with your spacer? If so is there aluminum pipe(s) coming off the bottom that you bolt the plastic to?

If so then you should be able to order silicone tubing for it.

and use joiners to get the right length. I ended up using a 4" piece of 2" OD exhaust pipe to get the 06-07 wrx tmic to fit.

Ya I could order premade silicone ypipe and hope i can modify it to fit.

This is it I can fit the IC even with my long TB and spacer, I bought a 02 Impreza clutch master to put on cause its shorter and will allow the Ver3 IC to fit. The part that connects to the turbo isnt reaching and needs to be longer

One thing i've seen, is to buy a separate 90* bend and joiner, and slice this one as far into the bend as possible. Otherwise you'll be hurting for material to clamp on to. Of course I didn't do that, so some someday I'll be buying another y-pipe and 90* bend since mine is f*d up, but not leaking for now.

Siliconeintakes.com is where I got my stuff, as well as t-bolt clamps since they don't tear up your hoses, lol.

I made an extension for now with some fuel filler neck pipe. I will look into yor suggestion when I get time. When I cut the plastic I left a lip for the hose to grab Thanks for the help
