I regret I didnt take any before pics, this truck was never supposed to go this far, it was gonna just be a re-spray but we had so much time into it, we figured to just completely re-do all the body work.

I used to work for a shop that fixed insurance totals and this is one of them. This truck had got rear ended and folded the bumper down, thats it and it was totaled.

this truck was SUPER UBER RARE! It was an original 85 SR5 solid axle truck that had never been messed with. No lift's, original drive-train, interior was in in amazing shape, but the most impressive thing was the options!

No joke, you could not get a truck with more options.
-Factory AC (still worked and was super cold!)
-factory Cruise Control (still worked great)
-Power manual antenna (still worked great)
-buckets in great shape!
-center console un-broken and perfect color!
-rear slider in excellent working condition!
-Power windows that worked perfect!
-power factory sunroof (extremely rare and worked perfect!)

So anyway, I was proud of how it turned out, took about 2 months at work on and off working on it. I pulled all the dents, fixed some rust holes in the box (got metal in my eye doing that, bad day!), and sprayed it with PPG Base/Clear...

So here ya go! One restored 1985 Toyota 4x4 truck! I think we sold it on Ebay or something for around $7,000 about 5-6 years ago.

It's nearly impossible to find one of those without a ton of cancer eating away at it, bet the new owner nearly pissed himself when he saw the ad/ebay listing. Good work!

Manual with a low range gearbox, nice!

I never liked the rear bumper design on those trucks - always looked like it had been in an accident

But seriously, good work on the paint. Always liked dark blue a lot.

It took a little bit of time to sell but the new owner was happy
