the c30 should put out 220hp from a 5 cly power plant and i believe awd aswell. plus have that super saftey deal that volvo is famous for. look out sti, evo, and audi

I have a hard time believing 220HP in that is going to be STI and EVO territory, maybe more like WRX. It doesn't look too light. It actually reminds me of an S40 in the front and a Chrysler Crossfire in the rear.

I like the older boxy looking Volvos quite a bit, too bad the reliability in some of the new ones has just been terrible.

Volvo's are nice cars, but they are'nt geared towards driving pleasure. I have flogged an S60R and although it is a fun bit of kit, it feels really disconnected. I drove it before running an STI through it's paces (followed by a Cayenne Turbo) and the STI was almost scary in comparison with how good it and direct it felt
(Helps to know the guys that run the import lots)

yeah, when I was talking about fun, I meant steering and suspension feel. Many vehicles do not convey this feel like subarus.

Some cars that do though....

i bleive the c30 is gonna be turbo charged and weigh less then both the evo and sti. i'll try to find some estimated stats today. it may not beat out the evo/sti but more then likely come very close.

from what i read, i think the c30 will have 3 models.
base will be an i4 w/160ish hp
low out-put turbo w/220ish hp
and high out-put turbo w/300ish hp (think v70 power plant)

but dont qutoe me on this....
