I suspect I cannot do this but thought I would ask. Is it possible to remove the rubber trim (such as around windows) and use it on another car? I think I read somewhere that it could not be removed without destroying it.

I don't see why not. When I paint the door jambs, I usually remove all the seals instead of masking it because its easier that way. Any pics of this particular rubber trim?

When you carefully remove the trim you can reuse them on other vehicles. In the collision repair world it's a common procedure.

It's done all the time. S13 coupes have a piece of trim for the rear window thats is always trash. A friend figured out that windshield trim for a Chevy s10 works...
So yeah, you can use stuff off of another car..
