What are these for and or about? Idk if its safe bad or good or whatever but I also been using these to rase my car in the front since I'm slammed. Just asking because I've noticed in the recent past and even now that at times there just there poking out and then there's other times when there lower the they normally are or one side is higher up then the other. Right now The ones on the passenger side are more in than the other side and also do these effect anything in the front. Noticed the bottom of my front bumper is more out the one side but its only noticeable when you're trying to look for it.

Holy side scroll Batman!
Those look like whats left of your tow hooks... I think... It's too much of a close up to tell what they are or where they are... You kinda should have those
but those are toast if thats what they are.. LOL

WTF! HAHAHA are you serious wow. I had no clue, they were like this when I got the car, I seriously thought it was just apart
of the chassis or something. lol I had no clue they were toe hooks. I did always wonder why I didn't have any in the front. :smt082

OH! I got this one!!!
Many years ago there was a recall on some years of 2nd gen legacys. The problem was that some people would pull too far into a parking space and the front tow hooks would hit the curb. That's all fine and dandy except there were some cases where the front airbags would deploy on impact with the curb! I remember when my mom owned my wagon before me she got a letter in the mail about it, and we took it to the dealership where they just cut them off. My car looks the same as yours!

Beat me to it.
These were removed as part of a recall due to airbag deployment.

It might be due to lack of sleep...but I'm cracking up over here, imagining some soccer mom tapping a curb and blowing the airbags.

lol Yeah its kind of funny when you think about it. :P
I wonder if my ex's moms old wagon was like this, if so it would of been cool to weld some sort of peace of metal to them
for that exact reason hints my ex driving it now. >:]

Really?! Thats hella funny! I have never seen a 2nd gen with them cut off and I have worked of a ton of those things!
Was it just a 95-96 thing?

I wouldn't worry about that, I think it was more of an impact thing, as that's what airbag sensors detect. Still, the jack plate in the middle of the crossmember is a better jackpoint.

I think so. Airbag systems changed in 97 and I don't recall the later years appearing in the recall.
