I recently bought some lowering springs for a Legacy Wagon, and was going to put them on my Outback to lower it a bit. How well will this work? I'm expecting only a mild drop out of it, but thats really all that I was going for anyways.

Well you'll blow the outback struts sooner rather than later... best bet is to put non-outback legacy struts on there if you want to lower it.

Yep. Most of the extra height is from the struts.

if i put lowering springs from a Legacy Wagon on the Outback struts though, how fast do you think they will go out? and also, how much drop are we looking at? They are 2" in the front and 1.7" in the back.....

Really depends on mileage and condition of your Outback struts.

I am planning on putting Legacy L Wagon struts on it. I have heard that this will help to lower the vehicle about 1" or so. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this or has done it themselves.

Once these new struts are bought, I have some lowering springs i purchased that lower it 2" in the front, and 1.75" in the rear.

So would I be correct in assuming that this combo would drop my vehicle ~3" in the front and ~2.75" in the rear?

im also wondering the same thing as you with my 2000 outback.

are you taking the lift blocks out or leaving them in?

That would seem correct. I would take the subframe spacers out too. Without it, you'll still have a bit of body lift, and it may look weird.

i might do that, or i might leave them in for a bit more room, i still want to maintain a capable DD, and a 3" drop is more than enough to satisfy my wants
