As Ludwig was becoming a pest (blowing headgaskets all the time and stuff) I needed a DD... and thus, I met this little girl in a dark CarMax parking lot one night.

I knew nothing about her at the time, other than that she was really pretty, and a Nissan Sentra, and that they were supposed to be bulletproof and get good gas mileage and do all the stuff I should be doing with my life instead of being a hoon. :smt016 A responsible car. You know.

And then I went to put gas in her for the first time, and saw that she required Premium. Huh? Yeah.

Upon further research I had just purchased a Nissan Sentra. With an Altima engine. A cracked-out, high compression, factory-tuned Altima engine, mated to a close ratio 6spd trans and turning all that power into smoke via a helical front limited slip diff.

But it's a responsible, family type vehicle, I swear....

...yeah. You'll like how this one goes.

"Getting to know the new, responsible, adult car."

Yep.

First in class against a Civic Si running R-comps? Family car.

"I will not modify this car in any way, shape or form."
-myself, upon signing the papers at purchase, in the most serious manner possible

Up until that point, everything remained stock, aside from the painted wheels and winter tires.

And then boxes from Germany started showing up, and some interesting new round pieces of furniture made their way to my house, awaiting some round pieces of rubber to be put on them. Then her windows got darker... and it started to rain.

BRAHAHAHAHAA!!!! An SE-R as a 'family car?! You done hit your head on that one!

Those are pretty cool cars in the Nissan world! Just about lost a race to one (older) in my Silvia. The early SE-R's had SR20DE none tubros. Fast cars for sure! My Pulsar has the same base chassis as the Sentra from the early 90's.

I could see the newer SE-R's a family car, but the SpecV like this one is really, really harsh riding from the factory.

So a new stance came to be...

H&R springs + Konig Feathers + Kuhmo Ecsta LE tires, and under the hood an Injen CAI, Megan header and downpipe, AEM wideband, and OSIRIS tuned to 204.4whp at 6825rpm and 192.7wtq at 5270rpm on 91octane. Stock midpipe and axleback... so it's still stock quiet aside from the intake (I take a lot of highway trips, so quiet is a must) It was PIG RICH from the factory... I've picked up 3-4mpg on the highway, and it really runs nicely all around. Tuned by an internet friend of mine who was in town for a couple days. It's shockingly quick for a N/A 4cyl... if you can get it to hook up it will pull past a stock 2010 WRX pretty easily. Debadged except for the "SE-R" on the brake calipers, so it really looks like any other blue Sentra with the SR/SE-R/SE-R SpecV bumpers and skirts... so most people don't look twice.

This is the most recent addition to the modlist.

I like your idea of responsible. What are you shooting with?
