Hey guys,

Long time lurker, thought I'd introduce myself. My names Matt, 22 years old and currently a Psychology student at a local university. I've been a Subaru fan as long as I can remember (lots of rally games as a kid). My first car was an Australian Ford Falcon (EL model), which was a great car, massive amounts of torque (straight 6 cylinder), I killed it offroad (awesome In mud puddles, wish I had a vid). I needed a new car so I insisted to my parents I wanted a Subaru, they brought it for me without checking it over (that cost me, I was on holiday). So here is my BD '96' liberty, I've had her for a few years now. It's FWD, however it's less of a boat compared to my last car, so I take corners at ridiculous speed. It's a standard 'GX' model which came with power windows and nothing else interesting, except I've added in lowered suspension and led dash lights. Unfortunately the guy I purchased the springs off, neglected to tell me that the rear springs where 'superlow' compared to just 'low' (king springs), so I have an odd ride height. I have a WRX front brake setup to put in, and some new rear springs to acquire, can't wait. I will begin an 'Ultra low' budget build thread when I acquire the parts.

Cheers,
Matt

Welcome!

You live in the country that I wish I could. I actually applied to Melbourne for grad school in neuropsych but wasn't accepted. Here's hoping you stick around, aussies have the lucky fate of jdm parts everywhere!

It's nice to see another winter green metallic legacy. Reminds me of my car in it's early modding days...
