big hello to the sl-i community..
gotta love the internet, brings together what's meant to gather..
nice to finally be signed up and no longer inactive non-member, sucking out the really great infos, tips and ideas..and to my knowledge I'm the first member from delaware (please correct if wrong, don't want to claim that unjustified), allthough I'm not even a "real" american..
currently enjoying the last of six months scholarship at the university of delaware in newark, have to go back to germany soon, get my degree done and stuff..but enough of me, it's about the cars, isn't it?!..
so huh, big surprise, I'm a 96 legacy wagoneer, nothing done to it except normal maintenance..I was lucky to spot that sweet thing 5 months ago somewhere in the poconos, allentown, pa, if I remember right..it was sitting in good company on the lot of a salvage car dealer, one of the few cars that were driveable, it had to suffer a pretty big hit in the right back, so trunk door and right back door didn't open (same until now) and it was "a little" bent all over the place..but somehow it didn't really mess up the alignment or other important parts for driveability..engine started right up, had no problems so far (141000 mls when I bought it, made nearly 5000 myself), the interior was pretty nice for being 10 years old, all power stuff worked and so on..so finally I decided to give it a try, figured I couldn't really go wrong for 1500 bucks, and here I am, still happy with him/her, brought me through the unfortunatly very non-snowy winter, did a great job hauling me and my buddies around the country (loading/unloading is a bit of a hassle, but all a matter of state of mind ;) )..I hope to get some pics up here if I figure out how to do it..if someone's interrested in taking over the legacy, don't hesitate, have to leave end of may, but i figure you all have your own money pits at home..I'll probably return to the states pretty soon and then I hope I get some real suby action going
btw big shouts to zittau im schoenen sachsen, in welchem ich bald wieder am elbstrand liegen werde ;)
later, pitten
