Need help removing 5th Gear

I ran into a slight problem with my transmission build, I need to take 5th gear off the mainshaft in the picture below but I have no idea what to use in order to get that nut off (circled in red). It looks to be about 2 inches or 5cm across.

Thats just a random FSM..

Have you not looked at the FSM for your year/trim?

The only manual I have is a Haynes manual and that doesn't do into any detail with disassembling the transmission. Thank you for the PDF, I'll look into that and see if it helps.
