OK, so my 97 L has over 300k and was running fine with no major issues. Last summer I towed a boat with it a few times and the clutch would slip on occasion, so I anticipated it needing replacement. It lasted almost another year with no issues before it snapped the friction disk from the spring disk. I assumed this happened because of the age/mileage (previous owner claims he had done no maint. other then oil changes since 110k miles). I replaced the clutch with a brand new Exedy kit and drove the car for about two weeks before the car let me sit again, I shifted to second and it clunked...then nothing, I tried all gears and the car wouldn't do anything but rev. I recently was able to have the time/place to work on my cars again and this was first up, I pulled the engine today to find my two week old Exedy clutch looking exactly like the 150,000 mile+ clutch I replaced a few months ago. What do you think is causing this?

This is the clutch I removed today

So this happened twice? Since with an OEM disc and one with this Exedy?

Yes, the trans shifts into all gears (grinds 3rd) and there has not been any noticeable resistance from the drive train. Its a stock 2.2 so its not like its making crazy torque lol
