Using 95-01 impreza lights on 99 legacy gt

I've noticed that a 95-01 impreza headlight looks quite similar to a 99 legacy headlights. I was wondering if anybody has tried to use the impreza headlights on their legacy or if anyone knows if its even possible to do so. The reason for my inquiry is on the fact that I have found a set of 95-01 impreza projector lights that would give my car a unique look.

Well, someone on here tried it and never finished the conversion. Can it be done, sure no reason not. Should it be done? I personally think no.

Just get some JDM Legacy lights and call it good. Or if you wanna be different, find some Morrets (spelling), and even customize OEM lights. The problems you have with using light from model or make, is making them fit. The fenders, the hood, the bumper, the grill. How you're gonna mount them, so much to figure out and make work. It would be easier to get say... get some BMW headlights and make then fit in the Legacy housings.

However, this is me, not everyone else, but I would not.

Thanks for the input. You would think that a company would have already created aftermarket lights for 2nd gen legacies. I will look into some JDM projectors.

Morette made aftermarket headlights. They are super expensive now.

A lot of parts are interchangeable between Leggy, Forester and Impreza but I don't think the lights will be a clean fit.

I have both Morettes and JDM projectors FS, let me know if you're interested.

The Hood line on the GC is completely different than the legacy.

Just swapping the headlights will not work. you would. have to change the hood, fender, grill like silva said.
