Hey guys, my name is Dewayne and just got stationed to Okinawa. I'm coming from the Mustang community and joined the site to learn more about Legacys, since I'm planning on buying one. Right now I'm looking at a silver 99 B4 twin turbo sedan 5-speed and hoping to purchase it this week. I'll post pics if/when I buy it. Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from you guys.

I'm looking at it tonight and most likely going to buy it. From the pics, it looks pretty clean. Already has Tein coil overs, sti exhaust and apexi intake. Here is the link of the one I'm looking at http://www.okinawayardsales.com/item277 ... src=SEARCH (http://www.okinawayardsales.com/item27732430.html?itemId=27732430&src=SEARCH)

My stang is currently in storage for the next two years. I really wish I could have brought it. It's 2011 5.0 and definitely a looker, so I probably could have sold it for a lot here.

Welcome to the forum. There are a few of us on here in Japan. You should definetly buy it. That car is about $1000 more than I paid for mine and those upgrades are worth way more than that. Good find.

Lol at the lemon lot prices. You can barely get an N/A one of those here for that price. But seriously, have someone who knows about Subarus go with you - you don't want to be spending every paycheck cause of some stupid but costly issues.

The ad says that the JCI is good until January. I would still take it by the base autoport and have them inspect it. I know here in Yokosuka, they charge about $50 for nearly the same inspection. If you don't know much about the JCI, they are brutal on how strick they are. A guy I work with has to get his minivan suspension redone because it is 9cm too low. They won't let it pass inspection.

But like Mike-tracy said, take someone who knows about Subarus with you. I am looking at a vacuum problem on my turbos now (mostly taken care of now) and I didn't notice it when I bought it. I also didn't know anyone with a knowledge of Subaru before I bought it either.

Well that one has been sold from underneath me, so now I'm in search of another one. Probably wont find one with those mods either. So hard to find a 5 speed TT that doesnt have dents and dings in it.

Come on. You live in Japan.. Body Panels are a dime a dozen there ;-D

North America would kill for the prices you can get your items for.

Well I'm buying a white 2000 B4 5speed on Monday. Can't wait! The paint isnt perfect, but what do you expect from a 12yr old car? It has some type of aftermarket exhaust and a turbo timer. Other than that, it's stock. What it really needs is a nice detailing job. Which I'll take care of myself. Now to save for a decent set of coil overs. Any recommendations that won't break my wallet?

L0rd is selling a set right now. https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=24870&hilit=l0rd. It looks like they are still up for grabs. Not sure what shipping will cost, but should still be cheaper than from a company.
