So I figured I would post this up. It's a 2 stroke so it fits right?!

Never have got to have too much fun with it since I play with my cars so much but I'll get around to it...

Red85Celica told me about this snowmobile his brother in law had and he wanted to get rid of it. He actually had 2, this and an old 80's Yamaha Bravo parts slead. I got both for $100. Sold the Bravo for $100 a month later... haha

The Polaris has needed some help, but is a good solid start. My first run out with it, it broke a drive chain 5 miles in. Friend towed the slead back and then I road on another friends... that was interesting... LOL

2nd time out, my cards failed me about 2-3 miles in and would only run at full throtle, but would not idle and was a PITA to get started. Got back to my truck and someone broke in and stole all my tools and camera gear, $4000 worth... it was a bad day.

Anyway, I did have fun when I took it out so I'll be working on it again to take it out next year, but I do have plans...

The motor is a 550cc, runs good, other then the rebuilt carbs needing a good tune. She's all stock right now and I'm not really gonna do anything to the motor. If I find a long track for cheap, I might do that since it's heavy and my friends like powder...

I had a friend that builds custome sleads and ATV's rebuild the carbs and I also replaced all the chain drive parts. New gears, chain and painted up the chain case.

I also picked up a small vintage snowmobile trailer from the 60's for $150.

So far I have about $300 into the slead and the trailer...

Plan for this summer? Oh yeah! I got some G.I. Joe decals from ebay and will be painting it snow camo and mounting dummy gun berals to the hood!

Here it is... When I got it...
Ewwww... Gay 1990's stripes!

Damn. I just got two snowmobiles for free a few months ago and they must be ancient. They are made by Rupp and have "not-so curvacious" bodies. But I did scrap one that didnt run and salvaged parts. I cant wait till it snows to see if it even works.

This one looks like it can haul.

I finally took a picture of it but I found out it is an early 70's Rupp American

Cool! Mine is not as fast as you would think. When my drive chain broke, I had to settle for a drive pully that was 2 teeth smaller. Has a ton of low end, but no top end anymore! =(

You have way to much free time and too many vehicles.

I have been a snowmobiler since 14 yrs old. The fun you have on these things is unbelievable. Living here in Pennsylvania we usually get to use them three months out of the year, but not this year we have had zero snow...
