Ok, I have been looking for a wing for my BD and cant find anything I like... soooo... I'm going to build one! Maybe... LOL

This is where you guys come in! I have an idea in my head, but could use some more ideas to go with it and also feedback. If there is enough interest, Randymarsh might be able to case it in CF or FG if hes interested.

I'm trying to build one that effective and not just show. I'm a little old school and like the big ol wailtails from the 80's-90's, but not massive big like. Something with some down force, but tasteful.

I have some ideas, but dont have the pics of what i'm thinking of yet... But they have had some of S13's that are clean.

What do you guys think? Would any of you be interested? I'll take feedback ether way...

C'mon now, you said you wanted to build a RS-B Limited, then build one!

I've been wanting a new spoiler too. Something tasteful, looks rally ish, and taller then GT.

I've started to think wingless as I am fed up with my stock GT spoiler. It looks great from the outside of the car. But I don't like where it is in my rear view and I hate how I alway have to hand wash under the dang thing because the brush at the car wash can't fully get under it. I don't see how it gets dirty really but it does.

I like twistedautoworks spoiler.

Little on the big side.

I like it more when he chopped it.

Not just SoA. Go out and try to find ANY sedan or coupe (not hatchback) that has a rear wiper here in the US.

WHY... just WHY. I don't get it!

The rear wiper is broken on my BC, and it's a fucking nightmare, can't see SHIT out the back!

Yeah, live in America and you wouldnt be upset about yours not working as much, and that you accually have one... The only cars that got them in the rear were hatchbacks, fastbacks, and wagons.

In other words, S13 hatch/fastbacks, Civic 3 doors, and Ford Explorers and other's alike are the only ones...

The next big thing I'm upgrading is the rear window for sure! I live Seattle, we get a lot of rain. When I hadnt been driving my BD for a few months and drove my Wagon, I didnt give it a second thought. Then I started to drive my BD and realized I could not see a damn thing when backing up or see cop behind me! Trust me, it sucks balls!

Rainx helps but it would've been a nice option to have here.

Never use mine.

Never use mine.
That's because you have a wagon and stuff falls right off the rear window. I never needed it for my wife's GT-B ltd, but I use it in the sedans whenever there is inclement weather because the water/snow/mist settles on the back window...

There's two sides to that coin. In the winter, a lot of snow collects on the back window of a wagon. Sedans get more direct airflow at higher speeds, keeping the back window more clear. Same goes for rain, to a lesser degree. But if you drive at lower speeds, the opposite will happen with of less airflow - the lower slope of the sedan will collect more than a sharply sloped wagon window. Either way, a rear wiper is definitely nice to have.

I'm from Australia where there's no snow, the only time we really use them is after driving on a gravel/dusty track and the rear window gets filthy... but then most people forget to fill the reservoir so you turn on the wiper and scratch your window or a little water dribbles out and you muddy up the window, doh! Actually one reason I never use mine now is because the rear blade is shot and I'm too tight to buy a new one!

too tight to buy a $5 wiper blade!? If you're too tight for that, i dare say you're too tight to bloody turn the key in the morning!

Reason i want one on mine is the frost dust... Fucking anoying, go down to yah car after a frost has defrosted, and the car's just covered in dust... Plus with the snow, well, self explanatory.

And they do so get snow in oz!!!

Well they aren't $5 here in Japan. :smt019
And if I'm not gonna use it then it's $5 wasted, right?
I just can't remember ever using one in my life... it takes me a few minutes to find how to switch it on!

Some parts of Australia get snow, but not the good parts, like where I'm from. Had never seen it until I came here.

Not the good parts eh, oh how you turn your back on your brothers to another mother in the south. :P

Seriously, I use my rear wipers pretty often (virtually every time I use the fronts), on the wagon, and I am forever reaching for the one in the sedan, before sad pandering.

HAHA! You guys crack me up!

Some people use them, some dont. I like in a State where we have everything. Rain, dirt, dust, sun, frost, snow, frezzing rain... I didnt care about it when I just had the BD. Then I got the BH and then realized, "wow, this is nice to have a wiper!". Also mind you that I have had hatchback Celicas and S13 hatcbacks with wipers. They are a God send with those cars!

Just realized how this thread turned into a wiper thread... hahahahahahaha!!!! I see you guys dont want me to have a different wing!

Nah, we just want you to have a new spoiler *and* a rear wiper

I've never experienced the full glory of a rear wiper since mine doesn't work. Supras all had them, but they never saw winter and were always super clean.

Moral of the story, if you have a sedan and it is snowing, you must drive fast!!!

I had that ver 5 spoiler and it was ok but cut vision quite a bit out the back window, and the gt is kinda boring but better than anything ricey. That R32 wing (looks wingy to me anyways) looks good on red but I think being white would mess it up. It's funny how colors change shapes of things. I've always wondered what a Chaser's wing would look like on a BD, the ones that look like a ver 5 without the bottm deck part, like this one on ebay.

Sorry Dead, this quickly became a thread about wipers.

I'm always on the lookout for stuff but can't ever remember seeing a BD specific wing, only the stock one or universal fitment. Maybe measure the rear ends of a few different cars and start looking at what's around that will actually fit?
