Can Someone Help

Ok I have a 98 subaru gt with 240,000 miles on it. I love the car and want to make it fast. I'm already swapping the automatic to a manual. I was thinking about going with the jdm ej20tt. From what I've been reading turbo builds can be headaches and money pits. I have about $1400 for an engine right now. What engine could I go with that would keep this car on the road as it is my dd, and that I could slowly upgrade parts. I am new to subi's and this forum can someone tell me how you post pics, I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks

From what I've read, the TT engine will only fit right hand drive cars unless you convert it to single turbo.

I would keep your current engine in good shape and save up a lot more money for a turbo swap or build later on.
